Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Payra mobile application and website (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Payra.

1. Who can use Payra

• You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure.
• Children may use Payra only through a guardian-managed account created and supervised by a parent or legal guardian, who is responsible for the child's use of the Service.
• If you create an account for someone else as their guardian, you confirm you have the legal authority to do so.

2. Your content

You own the content you send through Payra. Because the Service is end-to-end encrypted, we cannot read your messages or calls, and we claim no ownership of them. You grant us only the limited technical rights needed to store and transmit your encrypted data in order to deliver the Service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Payra to:

• break the law, or infringe the rights of others;
• harass, threaten, exploit, or harm anyone — especially minors;
• distribute malware, spam, or unauthorized advertising;
• attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other accounts, or our systems;
• interfere with or disrupt the operation of the Service.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules or that we reasonably believe endanger other users.

4. Encryption keys and backups

Your encryption keys are generated and stored on your device. If you enable encrypted key backup, it is protected by a password only you know. If you lose your device and your backup password, we cannot recover your message history — by design, no one can.

5. Availability and changes

Payra is provided free of charge. We work hard to keep the Service reliable, but it is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We may add, change, or remove features, and may update these Terms — if we make material changes we will notify you in the app.

6. Termination

You may stop using Payra and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, if required by law, or if continuing to provide the Service becomes impractical.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Payra and its team shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Our Privacy Policy explains what data we collect and how we handle it. It is part of these Terms.
